Comments: Athens is a typical big city. It's loud, busy, and somewhat dirty. The Acropolis is absolutely amazing and is right in the city. It is hard to imagine how all of it was built. The shops (Monistraki) were fun and reasonable. The hotel was not that great and expensive. That is typical when in the city. The Sofitel was right next to the airport and was very cushy. All of the food we ate was terrific.
