Our Trip to Greece - Santorini

May 19 -22, 2006

Comments: Santorini easily lives up to the hype. It is easy to take a postcard photo because it's just that beautiful. Our hotel was right on Kamari beach and was perfect, so relaxing. We had 2 balconies. The food was the best we had and the people were very nice. When you walk in front of restaurants they try to get you to look at the menu and sit you down.

If you didn't know, Santorini was (is) a volcano that lost portions of its rim. The middle is called the caldera. We took a cruise to it and climbed to the top. We then went to Thirasia and finally Oia (pronounced ee-ya). Oia is the town in which you see a lot of calendars and postcards.
